Music

Currently, I play lead guitar in a shoegaze/dreampop/metal rock band called Future Ghosts, and I’ve been playing with them in Chicago since 2009. I’ve got a black hollow-body Epiphone Dot guitar that I play through a Fender Bassman 4×10 60W vintage tube amplifier. Check out the videos below. (That’s me on the right!)

In 2011, I wrote a surf pop song we called “Syrfyn’ Byrd” and it somehow sparked the creation of a space-metal psychedelic jam band we called The Innerspace Band (or sometimes Innerspace13, or the Innerspace Bang!). Eventually, with the aid of my electric-acoustic 12-string guitar the whole thing melted into a slimy enchanting psych-folk stew. The project has since disbanded, but I did manage to put together a collection of the best live recordings, demos, and alternate takes called “Sessions Vol. 1″ along with several other live singles and studio recordings which are all available free to download.

Lately, I keep myself entertained with an assortment of folk instruments that I have acquired, including my majestic 12-string guitar, an electric mandolin, harmonicas, and my trusty 6-string acoustic guitar that I’ve carried around with me for many years. Below are some examples of my recent daydream guitar picking, song sketches, and miscellaneous room recordings.

I’m currently studying Django Reinhardt Gypsy Jazz styles at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Lincoln Square, Chicago. If you would like to hear more of my music, collaborate, or enlist my services as a musician, please feel free to send me an email!
